Drakes Supermarket partners with Toowoomba West and Qld State College
Our Club became aware of a need in the community that would provide a programme to assist transition of 15 to 17 year olds facing significant barriers accessing mainstream education. Following an approach to Drakes Supermarket here in Toowoomba, a partnership has been formed for Term 3 which will provide essential food supplies up to the value of $100 per week to cover needs in providing students with a healthy breakfast and snacks for during the day. Drakes have provided us with a Gift Voucher of $500 and the Club will match this figure to fund this project over the 10 weeks in Term 3. Toowoomba Store Manager, Benjamin Houston, presented our Club with a Gift Voucher recently to set the project in motion. Club is extremely grateful for Drakes generousity to assist with this small project.
