In September 1947, the first Lions Club in Australia was formed in Lismore. Since then, we’ve served the community with unparalleled kindness, putting the needs of our neighbours, communities and world before us.
After the formation of the first club in Lismore, like-minded people would band together to form Lions Clubs in their communities across Australia with the Lions Club of Toowoomba West being chartered in April, 1963.
Since our inception, the members of the Lions Club of Toowoomba West have supported community members with disabilities, community greening and fundraising events for worthwhile causes such as Lifeline Darling Downs and South West Queensland, Toowoomba Hospice and the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation.
